Hi, thank you for checking out my profile. I am an experienced and passionate music teacher from Co. Cavan, Ireland, currently teaching in Dubai, with over 8 years of tutoring and classroom teaching experience.
I specialise in preparing students for Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate Music, helping them build confidence in performance, composition, listening skills, and music theory. I also have experience supporting students in the IB Music curriculum and other international programmes.
I hold a Bachelor of Music degree from Maynooth University and a Masters in Music Education from the University of Limerick. Alongside teaching, I have extensive professional performance experience as a pianist at weddings, hotels, and events across Ireland.
My teaching style is supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. Whether you are aiming for top exam results, improving theory knowledge, or developing confidence in performance and composition, I strive to make music enjoyable while helping students reach their full potential.

- May 2026 Katie Hart Paul was an amazing help to me during my leaving cert music he is incredibly knowledgeable and kind a really good teacher I hadn’t done junior cert level music so I was afraid I would be really behind but he caught me up in no time and I ended up getting a H1 in the leaving cert would definitely recommend him to anyone!
- May 2026 Isabel Ryan I highly recommend Paul to any individual studying music. He is very attentive, always there on hand if you have any questions. The online classes were extremely valuable allowing me to achieve a H2 in the leaving cert. He covers everything from melody writing to the traditional music section at an extremely high level to ensure top results.

- May 2026 Alana Paul was honestly such a great teacher. He was always really patient and encouraging, and made lessons feel relaxed instead of intimidating. He explained things in a way that actually made sense and was really good at adapting to whatever level I was at or what I was struggling with. I genuinely looked forward to lessons and gained so much confidence with music because of them. He’s not only really talented, but also just a genuinely sound and supportive person. Couldn’t recommend him enough.

He knew the course inside out and had extensive knowledge of marking schemes and exam techniques, which made a huge difference throughout the year. He was also incredibly helpful in preparing my practical, even though all lessons were over Zoom. His support, organisation, and teaching style gave me so much confidence going into the exam!! I ended up getting a H1 in Music, and I genuinely wouldn’t have achieved it without all his help. I would highly recommend him to anyone studying Music!!

Paul had a clear, layed out plan in place for me throughout the year so I knew what was ahead and I could see my progress. I was a H6/H5 student throughout 5th year and Paul got me to a H2. The results speak for themselves. During my leaving cert study I would look forward to my grinds. Only for Pauls experience and guidance I never would have been able to achieve the result I did. I couldn’t recommend him enough and a gent to be tutored by.
